Training for the Winning Offensive.

106. We're trying to be professional here, and true professionals get the job done. They look at the job, not the hours. They work by goals and projects, not by clocking the time. If you hope to excel in something, you have to study. You have to work for it. You have to put in the hours. You have to sacrifice. Study at night. Study in your free time. Fit in some study on your day off. That's the way professionals do it. And that's the way you'll have to do it if you hope to be prepared in time for the offensive.

This paragraph jumped out and spoke to me this morning, I would like to share it with you.

(Jesus:) In order for the winning offensive to become all that it is destined to be, each of My brides will need to be marching together as one, hand in hand, arm in arm, and shoulder to shoulder. Each of My brides must purpose in their hearts that they will put the needs of their fellow brides above their own and take on the true weapon of brotherhood and apply it to their daily lives. This weapon of brotherhood must be applied not only within each Home‚ but between each Home, within each area and region as well as the body of My army. The burning desire to make the winning offensive the success that I have destined for it to be must be at the forefront of each of My brides' hearts and minds. It must become the all-consuming passion that motivates them to do whatever is necessary to see it through to fruition.

Excersise tip of the day

Endorphins to the Rescue!
Feeling blue? Well, get moving! Exercise changes your brain chemistry and positively influences your mood. It also triggers the release of endorphins, which act on the brain as natural pain relievers. On top of that, exercising will boost your confidence. As you start working out and getting stronger, you'll start to feel like a powerhouse in other aspects of your life. Whatever you do, don't lie around and sulk — it's totally counterproductive. You have the power to change your life, so get up and do it!

Choices and decison making

I am going through a time in my life where I am having to make choices on life changing decisions. And it's at those times, that you should be the most desperate, seeking the Lord and His council. Sometimes it's hard to know the will of God though, and because it is a big thing, I am worried that I won't hear clearly enough what the Lord want's to say, so I avoid asking him. It really doesn't make an sence to do that, but unfortunately this isn't the first time I have done it. Anyway, I was reading a letter this morning and this quote spoke to me, so I wanted to post it.

SO WHAT IS THE FIRST REQUIREMENT IN FINDING GOD'S WILL?: HAVING NO WILL OF YOUR OWN! Surrender your will, your body, your mind to the Lord.

I think you would call this the voice of the word, because it jumped right at me. I have been trying so hard to decide what I want to do with this situation that I am in, and I claimed to want to know the will of God, but I had my own ideas and never fully surrendered to Him. This sentence made me realize that I need to give up my will in oorder to find what I am looking for : the will of God.

Miracle

Just a little post about a miracle the Lord did yesterday!
We got two couches, and the man who gave them to us said that we could get even better ones in December, and we did our first bread pickup, every Friday we are going to have bread. We got healthy whole grain bread, blueberry bread, giant healthy oatmeal cookies and even some freshly made bars made with seeds, and cranberries.
TTL, and thank you Joan and Jamie for going out and provisioning. I love you

We are praying for a birhtday cake, however the Lord wants to supply it, either by giving us an already made cake, or giving us the ingredients to make one. please pray for the Lord's supply.

NEW HOME

I'm sorry I have been so unfaithful to post, for quite a few months now, basically since the move from TX to Canada I have been sooooooooo busy, I know I am late in posting about my move back to TX (Austin), but I just wanted to put a couple pics up of our new house. It was such a miracle, basically everything that we prayed for, this house had, it was definately a fight to get it, but it was super, because it got us really, really desperate, and when it finally came through it was such a boost to our faith. Anyway, here are the pics, more to come. OH BTW we got it completely unfurnished (well, besides 2 ovens, 1 microwave, and 1 dishwasher), so please pray for the Lord to do the miracle and supply everything we need to furnish our new home. Thanks so much

Something I read today

I read this little message from Mama and the Lord today and it really convicted me. I think this is something we all need to work on..here it is

Surer Proof

By Mama

I want to remind you to be faithful to pray fervently and desperately and faithfully for those who are sick, and especially those battling with long-term afflictions. We have some folks in the Family who battle with severe long-term afflictions, and it’s extremely difficult for them. But sometimes, unfortunately, because their health battles are ongoing or because there’s so much work to be done, people can tend to lose the vision for praying for them.

The Lord said something rather sobering to help to remind us of the importance of praying for those with long-term afflictions, which I want to share with you. When you have someone in your Home who battles in this way, the Lord is counting on you to support them and be there for them through your care and through your prayers—and to not grow weary. It’s a part of love for the individual, and it’s a part of your testimony to the world of your love and brotherhood.

(Jesus:) You are going to be facing desperate situations and multitudes of people who are hungry and longing to be fed. In order to meet the needs of the future, you will have to have sacrificial love. You will have to be willing to die to yourself in order to support and help a brother or sister in need.

Whatever the situation is, or how busy you may feel you are, it is still your duty to persevere in prayer again and again for any who have things to overcome. Through your sacrificial love in praying for them, they gain great victories and you learn to be the sample of My Spirit that I want you to be.

I’m not saying that everyone must fast and pray all day long. But I am saying that these difficult battles that your mates are called on to fight should be at the forefront of the minds and hearts of those in your Home. I’m saying that you should be doing your very best—in the spare moments throughout your day, and as you are going about your work—to shoot up prayers of faith for them, claiming the victories and rebuking the Enemy. As you do, you will see results. You will see the Enemy driven back in visible ways. You will see miracles take place.

And it’s not just about how many times you pray for someone or some situation. I’m not going to sit here and count up the prayers and say, “Okay, you’ve prayed a hundred times, so here’s the answer.” But there will be times when I wait to work and do the miracles until I see each heart determined to fight unconditionally and out of love. Sometimes I can’t bring the victories until I see each heart taking every chance they can, out of love, to fight in the spirit for that victory. When I see everyone pulling together for one in need, I know that you are getting the point, that you are learning to put others above what you feel like doing. I know that you understand that your mates and co-workers are even more important than your important deadlines or accomplishments or work for Me. I know that you understand My heart and are striving to make yours as much like Mine as you can.

There will always be too much to do, too many plans to make, too many meetings to have, too many burdens to carry, too many priorities for the hours in the day, and too many situations where a quick and easy solution—or a quick and easy healing—seems best. But My priorities have never changed. My children, My brides, are still My first concern.

Caring for one in need still takes precedence over accomplishments. Reaching one lost soul is still more valuable to Me than anything else in the world. That’s what My love is. “By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one for another” (John 13:35). Others are going to know that I’m in you by how they see your love manifested toward one another. It’s a surer proof of My Spirit than anything else.

Long time

Hey all..I know I haven't been a faithful blogger, being a full time manager, teacher, kitchen deacon and CC helper I can hardly find the time, plus we are in the process of moving back to TX, and with the offensive, things have been even more hectic...Anyhow, I was looking through some of my oldish pictures and I came across this one, I thought it was pretty funny and worth blogging.

It's of my 21st birthday, it was just before I moved to CA, we were passing through NY, and I happened to have my birthday at that time, which I was super happy about as I know and love everybody there a whole bunch.

if you notice most of us are being dumb (I'll admit that mine was a real mistake, I wasn't trying to be funny..hehe) and making the sign for 12 or 2 instead of 21, and one random person (not mentioning any names hehe) is looking very confused! heh!! Good stuff, here it is
